You should notify your employees that they should be careful to protect any company data and property and also to be conscious of con artists, spies, pick pockets, and those who would take advantage of foreigners. When your employees return from any foreign travel they should always change any passwords that they were using while abroad in case any of the passwords were compromised.

Duress is when someone puts pressure on your staff to do something with threats of harm, either verbal, written, or by email. Your employees should know how to handle blackmail and extortion. And you can seek the assistance of local law enforcement to help you provide duress training to your employees.

You should have a duress code word set up so that your employees can nonchalantly call for help if there is a situation where they're not able to speak freely. In order to monitor and provide additional security, you should use closed circuit television cameras as well as security guards.

These can be great additions to your security plan. You should also have an alert procedure in case of a fire or other threat. You can use email, instant messaging, alarm systems, or even a PA system announcement. You should also consider protecting your company equipment such as laptops, and cell phones, and even vehicles with GPS tracking technology for the electronic devices.
